What is a retaining wall?

A retaining wall is a structural element engineered to stabilize slopes and prevent soil displacement. In practice, it is used for leveling terrain and securing elevation differences. It is constructed from C30/37 class concrete and reinforced with B500 steel, ensuring long-term durability. The entire structure is manufactured using precast technology, which guarantees dimensional consistency and high quality for each element.

Precast retaining walls significantly reduce construction time, particularly when compared to conventional building methods. These structures are resistant to fluctuating weather conditions and have a service life of over fifty years. Their use enhances safety and reliability in infrastructure projects. Depending on specific requirements, our product range includes three load capacity classes: 5 kN/m² for light-duty tasks, 16.7 kN/m² for medium loads, and 33 kN/m² for applications involving the highest lateral load demands. This enables precise adaptation of the structure to the unique characteristics of each project.

An L-type retaining wall is a structure resembling the letter “L,” whose shape ensures even force distribution within the soil. It is applied wherever slope stabilization and landslide prevention are crucial. Various height options are available—from 50 cm to 400 cm. These precast retaining walls are equipped with purpose-designed reinforcement and chamfered edges, which positively influence the aesthetic quality of the entire project.

The L-type wall can withstand substantial loads without the need for complex foundations. This translates into savings in both time and cost. Installation is carried out without the use of heavy equipment, which significantly simplifies the process. These walls are successfully used in infrastructure developments as well as in private projects—such as forming terraces or leveling differences in elevation in small architectural spaces. With a range of base widths and load capacity classes available, the wall can be tailored to any ground conditions.

T-type retaining walls are engineered to deliver maximum stability in areas subject to significant horizontal loads. Their characteristic T-shaped profile enables them to effectively transfer forces even under challenging site conditions. Reinforced steel and precise geometry contribute to the high strength and durability of these structures.

In space-restricted environments, T-walls perform exceptionally well, as they do not require a wide foundation base. They can be combined with corner elements and other components to create integrated systems tailored to specific project requirements. Most commonly, they are used in industrial environments for constructing storage bins, partitions for bulk materials, and silo elements. Wherever high resistance to lateral pressure is essential, T-type precast retaining walls offer stability combined with straightforward installation.

Retaining walls have a wide range of applications across both infrastructure and private developments. In road construction, they function as structural barriers for embankments, bridge abutments, or sidewalk edges. In landscape and small architectural projects, concrete retaining walls combine functional utility with an aesthetically pleasing appearance. They are used to build terraces, landscape stairs, or serve as solid foundations for fencing. Carefully finished surfaces and cohesive forms allow the structures to integrate harmoniously into the surrounding environment.

In the industrial sector, precast retaining walls—both L-type and T-type—are highly effective as warehouse partitions and protective barriers for bulk materials. Thanks to their high resistance to lateral forces, they reliably secure storage yards. Installation is quick and does not require new foundation work, allowing flexible adaptation of the layout to evolving operational requirements. Many of these elements are additionally equipped with drainage systems that divert water away from the wall interface. This protects the structure from weakening and ensures long-term durability, even under unfavorable ground conditions.
