If the hydrant is located low, for example in a parking area, a compact 40 cm high model is sufficient. It protects without obstructing. In contrast, for taller hydrants typically mounted outdoors, the 60 cm versions with internal dimensions of 500 x 500 mm work better. They provide free access without limiting the surrounding space.
The installation method depends on the location. We can choose a bolted version or one designed for concreting—it all depends on the type of ground and how intensively the space around the hydrant is used. The yellow color and black warning stripes make the bollard highly visible, even from a greater distance. This is not just a matter of aesthetics but primarily of safety. Such marking complies with current standards used in the industrial and logistics sector and significantly reduces the risk of accidental impact.
Box-type Bollards
Box-type bollards are modern protective elements used in urban and industrial infrastructure. Their construction is based on four steel legs, which makes them resistant to impact and pressure from multiple directions. Bollards to be embedded in concrete require installation at a depth of at least 30 cm and the use of a concrete mix with appropriate strength. In standard versions, the load capacity under point impact reaches up to 1,000 kg. This is sufficient to effectively protect against a collision with a forklift or light delivery vehicle.
