Properties and types of Barbed Wire Fencing
Our offer includes two basic types of barbed wire that form an effective protective barrier. Each variant can be coated with special anti-corrosion layers, increasing durability under various weather conditions.
The first variant is 2 mm galvanized sharp barbed wire. It consists of two strands of steel core wire with barbs spaced at 102 mm intervals. The basic Z65 zinc coating (80 g/m²) ensures effective protection against corrosion. It is available in rolls of 125 m and 250 m. The wire has a tensile strength ranging from 400 to 500 N/mm². The 20 mm long barbs are spirally machine-twisted, ensuring permanent attachment to the core wire.
The second type has a diameter of 2.5 mm and is available in lengths of 45 m, 90 m, and 180 m. This variant features longer barbs—approximately 25 mm—spaced every 100 mm, allowing parallel installation of multiple rows. The increased diameter of the core wire results in higher mechanical strength, making it resistant to tension and tampering or vandalism. The double-stranded design guarantees stability and shape consistency even under significant loads.
Both types of barbed wire we produce are resistant to changing weather conditions, including precipitation and UV radiation. The thickness of the applied zinc coating ensures long-term corrosion protection, while the special barb design prevents easy bending or breaking.

Applications of Barbed Wire
Barbed wire is an important component of security systems for various facilities where its installation is legally permitted. With various wire length options, from shorter 45 m rolls to longer 250 m ones, installation can be flexibly adapted to the size of the protected area and the nature of the site. The choice of wire diameter—2.0 mm or 2.5 mm—depends on the required security level and the expected mechanical loads on the fencing.
In the agricultural sector, barbed wire is primarily used for fencing pastures and keeping livestock within designated areas. Additionally, it protects crops from intrusion by wild animals. It is also frequently used by farm owners to secure warehouses storing agricultural products and equipment.
In industrial facilities, barbed wire serves as protection against unauthorized access. It is installed as a single or double row at a height of 2–3 m. It is also mounted on fences around production halls, warehouses, and storage areas for materials and raw resources. It is often used to secure storage yards, service vehicle parking lots, and loading zones. In commercial facilities, 2.0 mm barbed wire provides additional protection for logistics centers, wholesale warehouses, and back areas of large-format stores.
